BMFA National Centre Auction News
Coming Soon
Building on the success of previous Model Engine and Aircraft Auctions held at the National Centre we are pleased to announce the programme for the Autumn/Winter sales, we have already added a second sale due to the sheer number of Lots.
Our first Auction takes place on Sunday the 3rd of November and is a hybrid sale broadcast from the Goldsmith Hangar, with bidding in the room as well as live on-line with the opportunity to place advance bids through the on-line platform.
Viewing will be available on the 2nd of November (also the date for the BMFA Annual General Meeting, which takes place in the afternoon) and will also be available on the morning of the Auction.
The second sale (in the same format) is scheduled for the 24th of November (with viewing on the 23rd) with the likelihood that there will be a further date early in the New Year for an on-line only sale (as in previous years).
Keep an eye out for further updates and news.
Lots of Lots!..... real collectors auctions.
We are in the final stages of producing both catalogues and it’s fair to say there are plenty of spectacular and rare items on offer.
We are pleased (in fact honoured) to be charged with selling perhaps the UK’s most eminent collection of Oliver Tiger engines and associated derivatives, over 150 lots of these iconic engines containing several from John Olivers’ own personal collection, a very rare opportunity indeed.
In addition, we are proud to be offering for auction one of the best classic and vintage kit collections that we have seen, containing kits from all the well-known manufacturers such as Keilkraft and Veron as well as some rare items from lesser known companies, the collection (some 250 kits) will be spread between the two sales.
Again, a real trip down memory lane and an opportunity to own some much sought after classics.
Back to engines, there are plenty to choose from with some great collectors’ pieces such as the Wain V twin as well as a great selection of very usable and very collectable engines.
Looking forward to the second November auction, we have a number of very rare engines already catalogued including a new in box, Giusepe Tartora flat four RC glow engine from Italy, extremely desirable, we also have a number of engines from the workshop of Alan Lee as well as some record-breaking speed engines.
For the CO2 and indoor enthusiasts, we have a significant collection of airframes, engines and accessories waiting to be catalogued as well as plenty more collectors’ kits.
Full catalogues coming soon to view online, and also available in full colour hard copy as souvenir items which can be posted out to you as soon as they are available at a cost of £5.00 each including postage.

All auctions are open to international bidding, and we are able to dispatch items overseas as well as the usual UK courier and postal services.
